The Equity Committee recognizes the inequities that poor and working class people face in society and hosts an event to commemorate the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty on October 17 to address these equity issues.

This event brings students, faculty, staff, and community members together to discuss a variety of issues that impact poor and working class people including, but not limited to: poverty reduction, equitable funding of public services (such as healthcare and education), low-income living conditions, and homelessness.
