Reel Rock Film Festival
Come out and enjoy a movie night featuring major highlights from the past year in climbing, Reel Rock 12 is coming to Kamloops! This event is a partnership between the TRU Adventure U Club and the students in the Adventure Guide Program. There will be four films shown. The first is a deep watering soloing film featuring the legendary Chris Sharma. The second film follows Margo Hayes and her journey to become the first female to break through the 5.15 barrier. The third film revolves around the daring Brad Gobright as he pushes the limits of free soloing and scary trad routes. The final film is about amputees in the climbing world, specifically Maureen Beck who despite missing her lower left arm absolutely crushes. This event not only reflects on the past year in climbing but helps fuel the fire and excitement for next season. Come check it out and get stoked!
The film is being held at the TRU clocktower, doors open at 6, movie starts 6:30, and runs until 10. There will be $2 raffles available at the door for some great prizes from our local sponsors, and food and beverage will also be for sale.
Tickets purchased in advance are $10 get them at https://www.truadventureu.com/booking and will also be sold for $15 at the door if it hasn’t already sold out.
