Constitution and BylawsConstitution

The Constitution is a short (usually one page) document that describes the Students’ Union’s reason for existing. The Society Act requires that it includes:

  • Aims of the organisation
  • Name of the Society
  • Clause to describe process of dissolution of the Society

Bylaws

The Bylaws are the codified principles of the Students’ Union. The Bylaws do not describe every single procedure, rather they are the significant principles and procedures such as:

  • Duties of elected representatives
