Kickstart LogoThe Thompson Rivers University Students’ Union invites your business/ organization to participate in its annual Kickstart events from September 5 to September 17, 2013. Kickstart is a chance for students to kick off the academic year with a bang and to become acquainted with their fellow students, faculty, staff, and members of the community. Kickstart is a well-established series of events that draws approximately 7000 students from all across the University. Throughout the month of September Kickstart will include First Year Orientation, the Back to School BBQ, an outdoor Movie Night, a Handbook Giveaway, Clubs Day, and a Tunes Against Tuition Fees Concert.

Your support as community organizations and local businesses is a vital part of Kickstart and the University experience. As a Kickstart Sponsor, your business/organization will be helping to create the entertainment component of a great back to school in addition to supporting the work of the students’ union year round. All net proceeds from these events will be used to provide TRU students with advocacy, services, and entertainment. Finally, your business/organization also has the opportunity to profile itself to the new and returning students at TRU.

  • Logo displayed in Kickstart Newspaper ad
  • Logo displayed on the Kickstart Webpage
  • Logo displayed on screen as a “preview” during movie night

Silver Sponsorship Package:  $750

  • Promotional table at the Back to School BBQ
  • Sponsor name mentioned from the stage at the Back-to-School BBQ
  • Listing displayed on Kickstart Website
  • Listing in the Kickstart Newspaper Ad

Bronze Sponsorship Package:   $500

  • Promotional table at the Back to School BBQ
  • Sponsor name mentioned from the stage at the Back-to-School BBQ

Base Sponsorship Package:   $250

Non-Profit / Internal Sponsorship Package:   $125

Payment Information:

After submitting an application for BBQ Sponsorship you will receive an invoice. If you have submitted your payment prior to receiving an invoice your invoice will be reflected with a paid stamp. Payment can be made by cheque or cash. Cheques should be made out to the Thompson Rivers University Students’ Union.  Payment can be made in person at the Members’ Services Desk in the Students’ Union Building or by mail to:
