Join the TRU Students’ Union and the TRU Faculty Association on December 5th at 12:00PM in the Old Main Art Gallery for the 25th Memorial of the Montreal Massacre.

The National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women is in recognition of 14 women who were killed at École Polytechnique de Montréal on December 6th, 1989. A man who was disgruntled over the acceptance of women into the engineering program entered the institution separated the men from the woman and shot the women.

This memorial is an opportunity to remember the 14 women who were killed as well as declare our collective intention to work end violence against women in all aspects of society today.

The event will include music, brief remarks, and a light lunch. It will take place in the Old Main Art Gallery. Everyone from the campus and community is invited to attend.
