DESCRIPTION:While students may sit in the same classroom and earn the same degree\, the way they pay for their education can look very different. One student may graduate with scholarships and grants that never need to be repaid\, while another may rely on loans that impact their finances for years after leaving school. Others may have family support or take on the full cost themselves. \nThe way students fund their educational journey can shape more than a student’s balance sheet. It can influence who is able to access post-secondary education\, the choices students make while they are enrolled\, and the long-term outcomes of earning a degree. \nDrop by Student Street in Old Main from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. and chat with the TRUSU Community Affairs Committee about the differences between loans and grants\, who can access different forms of financial support\, and how funding choices impact students during and after their education. \nDiscover how grants\, loans\, and other forms of financial support create different experiences for students and why those differences matter.
