DESCRIPTION:Going to university means more than attending classes\, it means finding a place to live\, build a routine\, and be part of a community. As housing becomes harder to find and more expensive\, students are left asking what role communities and institutions should play in ensuring they have access to a place to call home while studying. \nAs post-secondary education continues to grow and communities change\, planning for where students live is becoming an important part of planning for the future. The choices made today will shape the experience of students for years to come. \nDrop by Student Street in Old Main from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. and chat with the TRUSU Community Affairs Committee about the connection between housing and education\, how other communities approach student housing\, and what affordable student housing could look like in Kamloops. \nLearn how different places are addressing student housing\, explore the challenges facing students in Kamloops\, and share your perspective on what students need to thrive.
