8th Annual TRUSU Pride Parade

8th Annual TRUSU Pride Parade

Celebrate diversity! Join us at the 8th Annual TRUSU Pride Parade!

The TRUSU Pride Parade is hosted each year by the Equity Committee to commemorate the queer history of pride that started with the 1969 Stonewall riots, to celebrate accomplishments and progress for LGBTQ+ rights since that time, and to publicly claim Thompson Rivers University as a safe space to study, work, and live no matter your sexual orientation or gender identity. All are invited and welcome to celebrate, including Aboriginal folks and Queer people of colour.

Parade placards will be available for everyone to use at the event, but attendees are also encouraged to bring their own signs, banners, or other demonstrations of support.
