Discrimination strikes at the very heart of being human. We often hear heart-breaking stories of people who suffer unacceptable or discriminated behavior simply because they belong to a different group.
This workshop offers participants an invaluable opportunity to acquire concrete and effective skills for addressing various types of discrimination, racism, bullying, micro-aggression, verbal and non-verbal displays of prejudice and disrespect. Workshop participants will learn and practice the Active Witnessing Model and go through a total of over 100 sample responses under four different categories with varying levels of intensity and directness.
Join the Thompson Rivers University Student Union in a highly interactive workshop with experiential learning activities to promote mutual respect, move from awareness to action and create a change in society.
If you are concerned about discrimination and want to transform passive bystanders into active and ethical witnesses, register for the event below.
