Event Type
On Tuesday, October 3, from 12pm to 1:30pm, we invite you to join an engaging dialogue focusing on international student job pathways. This event will highlight insights from guest speakers representing the Kamloops Chamber of Commerce and the TRU Career and Experiential Learning department while also leaving space for students to interact, ask questions, and share their own experiences.
Facilitating this event will be Brian Jones from the Kamloops Chamber of Commerce and Shawn Read of the TRU Career and Experiential Learning Department. Each of these facilitators will shed light on various aspects of international student employment landscape from both an external and an institutional perspective. They will share valuable insights into how international students can leverage their skills and education to pursue their career aspirations.
This discussion is part of the TRU Students’ Union’s Breaking Bread series which brings together small groups of students with community leaders to share perspectives, foster connections, and build community. Participation will include the facilitated discussion and a free lunch.
