In reflection of our organization’s values and commitment to Truth and Reconciliation for Indigenous People across Canada and those that make up our membership; the Equity Committee has organized a Land Acknowledgment Workshop for student and community leaders at TRU. This workshop will take place on Monday, October 16, 2023, in the TRUSU Lecture Hall from 6pm-7:30pm, where you will get the opportunity to learn from, Laura Grizzlypaws, on how to create a meaningful Land Acknowledgement that is in line with learning and acknowledging who’s land you are on, and identifying your relationship with that.
