SUMMARY:Chef’s Package Giveaway
DESCRIPTION:Post-secondary education can get expensive with high tuition costs\, expensive textbooks\, and rising inflation. At TRUSU\, we believe that no student should have to face food insecurity while striving for their academic goals. To address food insecurity on campus and reduce the financial burden on students\, we will give away customized chef’s package to students once every month.  \nOn the second Wednesday of each month\, the TRUSU Services Committee will be hosting a table to giving away free chef’s packages to students at TRU. The event will start at 10:00 am inside the TRUSU building. Each package has enough ingredients to cook healthy home-cooked and delicious meals. \nSupplies are limited. Make sure you stop by at the Services Committee table inside TRUSU building and pick up a healthy Chefs Package. Bon Appetit!!

DESCRIPTION:Our event will be a tour of the Kamloops Indian Residential School\, followed by an exploration of the Secwépemc Museum and Heritage Park. After participating in this tour and exploration\, we will engage in a debriefing session at either the Berry Walk or the picnic tables near the Residential School. Our debrief and grounding session will include bannock and tea from Kekuli Cafe. Seriously\, we’re talking about an actual Carnival! \nOn the last day of Classes – Tuesday\, April 14\, 2026\, join us for the first ever TRUSU Carnival featuring amusement rides (ferris wheel and mega drop)\, food trucks\, live music\, and more! This event is open to everyone. Event admission is free. Rides are $10 for two rides and must be purchased in advance.   \nThe event runs from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM. \n  \nAmusement Ride Pass Instructions:\n\nEach person riding the ride must at least be 106 cm (42 inches / 3.5 ft) tall and no more than 300 pounds (136 kg).\nA ride pass ($10) must be purchased in advance to access the rides.\nEach pass includes two tickets.\nOne ticket = One ride.\nYou may ride the same ride twice or each ride once.\nPasses are non-transferable and non-refundable.
