SUMMARY:First Aid Kit Giveaway
DESCRIPTION:For many years TRUSU has supported students throughout their studies and offered peace of mind through the extended health and dental plan should they get sick. While the union does its best to protect their members\, accidents and injuries can occur anywhere – at home\, at the workplace\, while driving or while participating in sports events. They are not wished for\, but they do happen. \nThrough the TRUSU Wellness Series\, the union wanted to give students something that can help them respond effectively to common injuries and emergencies – a First Aid Kit. A First Aid Kit with proper supplies can help clean cuts\, limit risks of infection and help an injury to heal such as a sprain. Whether it’s a minor or serious injury\, it’s a good idea for households to have first aid kits available and fully stocked. \nOn Wednesday\, February 04\, 2026 the TRUSU Services Committee will be giving away First Aid Kits to students so that they have the essential items at home and are prepared for unforeseen medical emergencies. The event will start at 10:00 am inside the TRUSU Building and the committee has 100 FREE First Aid Kits to be given away to students on a first-come-first serve basis. \nSupplies are limited. Make sure you stop by at the Services Committee table inside TRUSU building and get a First Aid Kit. Stay Safe!!

SUMMARY:Breaking Bread: Productivity & The Pressure to Keep Up
DESCRIPTION:Do you ever feel overwhelmed by constant deadlines and expectations? Are you struggling to find balance between productivity and rest? Do you wonder how others are managing to keep up without burning out? Come be a part of an open\, honest conversation about what sustainable productivity really means and how we can support each other through the pressures of student life.  \nOn Wednesday\, February 18\, 2026\, from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm\, join the TRUSU Campaigns Committee for pizza and an open discussion centered student productivity. Together\, we’ll talk about the constant pressure to always be “on\,” share experiences with procrastination and burnout\, and explore what a balanced approach to work and rest means for each of us. We’d love to hear from you about what you do to make it through the semester\, and any other thoughts you have on what it is like to try and balance all the things students need to do.  \nThis discussion is part of the TRU Students’ Union Breaking Bread Series which strives to create a space for students and local community leaders to come together over a shared meal\, discuss contemporary issues\, share perspective and create community. It’s a chance to learn from each other’s experiences in a casual\, small group setting.  \nSpaces are limited\, and registration is first come first served. Reserve your spot below now!   \n
