Event Type

Reproductive Rights are under attack. Outlawing abortion won’t stop people from terminating pregnancies, but it will make it riskier and more expensive, particularly for those from low-income or racialized backgrounds. The striking down of Roe v. Wade is a devastating setback to reproductive rights with potentially wide-reaching implications in the United States and perhaps globally.

Join the Thompson Rivers University Students Union and Julia Riddle of Arvay Finlay LLP to explore the implications of the overturning of the Roe v. Wade decision from a legal standpoint as well as to breakdown the differences between abortion access and regulations in the United States and Canada

If you are concerned about reproductive rights and want to learn more about the current legal and political landscape we find ourselves in register for the event below.
