Food insecure students show lower grades, higher rates of mental health concerns, and are at risk of poor physical health. Throughout the academic year, the TRU Students’ Union will be giving away customized food packages to students through the TRUSU Chef’s Package program. Each chef’s package will contain multiple non-perishable food items to make a delicious recipe and the program will help reduce the financial constraints on students at TRU, while they work hard to achieve academic and personal success. 

On Wednesday, September 20th, the TRUSU Services Committee will be hosting their first monthly chef’s package table of the year. The event will start at 10:00 am inside the TRUSU building. There are 200 FREE chef’s packages that the committee will be giving away to students. Each package has enough ingredients to cook over two healthy home-cooked meals. 

Supplies are limited. Make sure you stop by at the Services Committee table inside the TRUSU building and pick up a healthy Chef’s Package. Welcome to TRU and Bon Appetit!!
