Many students will contend with issues in their living situation at some point during their studies at TRU; including landlord disputes, unsafe living conditions, and understanding the terms of a rental agreement. As student leaders and campus and community professionals, having a basic knowledge of Tenant’s Rights can go a long way in supporting these students. It is with this in mind that we are offering a free Tenant’s Rights Training for members of the campus and broader community to help raise our collective knowledge around tenants rights.

Join the Thompson Rivers University Students and TRU Law Faculty Member Kelly Melnyk to learn tenants rights basics, go over some common scenarios that folks may experience, and to learn about how to support/refer folks to ensure they get the help they need.

If you want to be a part of making sure all those in our community who need tenants rights advocacy can get the assistance they need please click to the register for the event below.
