What are Student Caucus Meetings?
Each month the Student Caucus, the team of over seventy (70) student representatives who serve on committees and advisory groups across TRU, meet to connect and share information about decisions that impact our campus community and to review potential opportunities to engage in the TRU Governance system.
What does a Student Caucus Meeting Agenda Look Like?
Student Caucus Meeting agendas include reports from the TRUSU University Affairs Committee regarding ongoing projects and opportunities for student representatives to participate in. Student Caucus Meetings also include presentations from both external and internal leaders from across the post-secondary education sector to provide members of TRU’s governance system with opportunities to learn, informative overviews, idea generation sessions, and consultations.
Who Can Participate in Student Caucus Meetings?
All students who serve on a TRU committee or advisory group are required to attend Student Caucus Meetings. However, the meetings are open to any campus or community member who wishes to attend and take advantage of opportunities to learn and engage in conversations about improving post-secondary education, decision-making, and operations.

Are you interested in participating in an upcoming meeting? If you’re a faculty, staff, administrator, student, or community member interested in attending an upcoming meeting, please send our University Affairs Coordinator an email to s.rae@trusu.ca for access to the agenda package and meeting details.
How Can I Present at a Student Caucus Meeting?
Do you have a potential project or program you’re interested in sharing with the student representatives who serve TRU’s governance system? The Student Caucus welcomes both external and internal presentations for information and/or discussion.

Student Caucus Meetings take place on the second Wednesday of each month at 6:00pm – 7:30pm in House of Learning (HOL) 190. See the below schedule for 2022/2023 meeting dates.
