We are excited to announce the launch of our new  Deals Student Discount Program App in Kamloops. Over the summer semester, the Thompson Rivers University Students’ Union has worked with various local retailers, service providers, grocery and food-related stores, wellness providers, and transportation companies to secure amazing discounts for TRU Students.   

Hosted by the British Columbia Federation of Students, the Deals Student Discount Program App helps 170,000 students, including 10,000 right here in Kamloops, save money on the everyday items that drive up the cost of getting a post-secondary education.

“It is expensive to be a post-secondary student with increasing Tuition fees, rent, and high textbook costs, the Deals App will help students save hundreds of dollars,” said Keegan Lawrence, Vice President Internal of the Thompson Rivers University Students’ Union. “Traditionally, we have been able to help students make their lives affordable at the annual Back to School BBQ, since we are unable to host the Back to School BBQ this year, we look forward to continuing that tradition and partnership with local businesses in a digital format.”
