You’re invited to pick-up a free meal kit from the Union in Campus Commons this week.
On March 9, the TRUSU Services Committee will be distributing Baked Bean Curry Kits to students on campus from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. between the House of Learning and the International Building. You can enjoy Baked Bean Curry for breakfast, lunch or dinner.
“Baked Beans are a popular dish all over the world,” said Simranjit Singh, TRUSU Interim Services Coordinator. “It’s easy to make and it’s extremely delicious. This is a plant-based meal with hints of sweet and earthy flavours that will leave you feeling satisfied.”
The Services Committee of the TRU Students’ Union (TRUSU) is made up of six students who were both elected and appointed. These representatives are responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of the annual Services Plan for the Union. The Services Committee works hard to bring you great services like the student Health and Dental plan and the Upass.
Our goal is to help students manage their time to prepare for exams this winter by providing a meal kit and a recipe card to bake a simple dish that’s rapidly gained popularity internationally. It’s a plant-based meal with high-nutritional value.
In these complimentary meal kits, you’ll receive enough ingredients to make this healthy meal at least two times.
Our Baked Bean Meal Kits are available to the first 100 students to arrive.
Let us know if you’ve successfully picked-up the meal kit, enjoyed your meal and share your photos on social media, tagging @TRUSU15 in support of this project.
