The October 24 BC Election is quickly approaching and with the COVID-19 pandemic, it will be unlike any other. We at the TRU Students’ Union are encouraging students to take advantage of the voting option that works best for them in the upcoming weeks. Voting by mail is proving popular this year with almost 500,000 British Columbians having already requested a package.
“Mail in ballots will be an important voting option for many students in this election,” said Kole Lawrence, Vice President External of TRUSU. “It will let students vote safely from their own home at a time that is convenient for them.”
Requesting a vote-by-mail package is easy to do online by clicking here. If you’ve recently moved, steps to update your voter registration will be included in your voting package.
If you prefer to vote in person, visit Elections BC to learn more about voting in advance or on general voting day. https://elections.bc.ca/voting/where-to-vote/
