On Monday, October 24 at 12pm, the TRUSU Campaigns Committee will present its 2016 public opinion polling. Commissioned through the national polling firm Vector Research, the report provides the opinions of over 600 households in the Kamloops region with regards to a range of post-secondary education issues.
This presentation will cover such issues as community priorities for the direction of TRU, how much residents trust campus groups and political parties, and if residents believe TRU should receive more government funding.
“This is an exciting opportunity for anyone interested in understanding what residents of Kamloops think about a wide range of post-secondary issues,” said Amber Storvold, Vice-President External of the TRU Students’ Union. “One of the most powerful data points from polling is that 9 out of 10 residents believe that BC should create a comprehensive system of need-based grants. We’re excited to share what the community had to say this year.”
The event is free to attend and everyone is welcome. It will be held on Monday, October 24 at 12pm in the TRUSU Lecture Hall. For further details click the event link:
