Each year the members of the Thompson Rivers University Students’ Union elect a Board of Directors to serve as their representatives for the upcoming year. This year’s election is coming up on March 26 & 27. Nominations for the election open on March 3 and close on March 14. The campaign period opens on March 17. The all candidates forum will take place on March 25 at 7PM in the TRUSU Lecture Hall. Polling will take place in the TRUSU Boardroom on March 26 from 8AM-8PM and March 27 from 8AM-4PM. Results will be posted on the TRUSU website on Friday March 28.

To nominate yourself for election you must pick up a nomination package from the Members’ Services Desk in the Students’ Union Building. This nomination package will contain your nomination forms as well as information about the expectations of a member of the Board of Directors. This package much be completed and submitted to the Members’ Services Desk before 4:00PM on March 14th. Nomination packages will be available starting March 3rd at 9:00AM.

Positions for Election

There are thirteen positions on the Board of Directors: four executive positions, five advocacy representative positions, and fours director-at-large positions.
