Are you interested in becoming the next Graduate Students Representative? 

The Thompson Rivers University Students’ Union (TRUSU) is seeking students to join the Board of Directors at TRUSU for the 2021-22 school year. The TRUSU Board of Directors is responsible for overseeing the Union and meets biweekly between 4 and 6 p.m. on alternating Tuesday nights. 

The Graduate Students Representatives primary responsibilities are to plan and participate in campus outreach issues identified by the University Affairs Committee team. The University Affairs Committee is focused on supporting students in institutional governance through the Unions Student Caucus and overseeing the Together TRU program.

If selected you can expect to attend this year’s annual general meeting and to collaborate with your peers who are from the Constituency, the Executive as well as the Campaigns Committee, the Services Committee Representative, the Entertainment Committee Representative and the University Affairs Committee Representative. 

Applicants should have a strong desire to work on advocacy, the ability to understand complex governance structures and a willingness to support our Members on campus.
