Effective September 03, 2019 the Thompson Rivers University Students’ Union will be expanding its operating hours in the Student’ Union Building.

“We are excited to announce updates to the operation of  the Students’ Union Building to better the serve the campus and broader community” said Sajeesh Soman, Vice President Services. “The campus and broader community have been asking us for more options in terms of meeting and study spaces both in the evenings and on the weekends. As result we have put together a model to pilot extended hours during these times for the 2019/20 year.”

For the fall and winter semesters the Union will be extending the hours of both the Members’ Services Desk and the Common Grounds Coffee Shop including opening on weekends. These extended hours will provide better service for the campus and broader community and provide additional options for studying and meeting on campus.

“We want people to think of  the Students’ Union Building as their home on campus. Our goal is to be open as much as we can and to provide the highest level of service we can when open” said Soman. “We have put in place an entire team to support building users and we are confident that we can provide an exceptional experience for our members”.
