Winter Fest

Celebrate the holiday season and connect as a community at the TRUSU Winterfest! Grab your friends and family to enjoy music, food, activities, and the official tree lighting.

Winter Fest offers the opportunity for us to gather as the days get darker and kick off the holiday season! Each year we come together in the campus commons, outside the Campus Activities Centre, to enjoy large fire pits, marshmallow roasting, live music, food trucks, and more. It is a celebration of all things winter with fun-filled activities, cozy vibes, and unforgettable memories!

At the center of the celebration is our community tree, decorated with over 3,000 lights and jumbo-sized ornaments that have been designed by various groups, faculties, and departments in the TRU community. To bring the event to a close we light the grand 60-foot tree for the first time in the year, marking the beginning of the holiday season.
