The TRU Students’ Union is excited to launch our Community Meal program in fall 2023 and provide healthy meals to students at TRU on a consistent basis.
Every year, TRU welcomes hundreds of students to their campus. Many of these students are away from their families and are working hard to achieve academic success. To achieve this success, one thing that students must make sure is to eat healthy.
The Union has been working on the Community Meal program for the past three years to successfully launch the program and is finally ready for it. The Union believes that these community meals will also provide students the opportunity to come and enjoy conversations with other TRU students over a delicious nutrient-packed meal.
Starting September 21st, the TRUSU Services Committee will be hosting the Community Meals inside the students’ union building every other Thursday from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm and will provide free meals to the first 100 students or while quantities last.

The TRUSU Community Meals initiative is expected to feed more than 1500 students in its first year and many more in years to come.
