Yesterday more than 80 students gathered together

Yesterday more than 80 students gathered together to be oriented to their new positions on TRU governing bodies through the TRUSU Student Caucus. These students will serve as representatives across the campus making sure that student voices are heard whenever and wherever decisions are made!

The Students' Union Building will be closed until Tuesday October 1 in recognition of National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on September 30.

This day honours the children who never returned home and Survivors of residential schools, as well as their families and communities. Public commemoration of the tragic and painful history and ongoing impacts of residential schools is a vital component of the reconciliation process.

We will be accepting entries until 7PM tonight (September 26). The first 100 valid entries will be able to pick up a ticket at the Members' Services Desk in the TRUSU Building between 8AM and 4PM tomorrow (September 27).

Entries are limited to one per student. And entries must include a valid student number for the semester. This event is 19+

Yesterday members of the Equity Committee attended the Take Back the Night Rally hosted by the Kamloops Sexual Assault Counselling Centre.

Take Back the Night is an international movement to stand against sexual and domestic violence.
