TRUSU needs you! We are looking for students to join TRUSU Committees to help plan and implement our activities for the 2026/2027 year! This is a great opportunity to get more involved on campus and serve the community.
We are looking for 15 students to fill Member-at-Large positions on the Community Affairs Committee, the Entertainment Committee, the Equity Committee, the Services Committee, and the University Affairs Committee. For more information on the work of each committee see below. Member at Large positions run from May 1, 2026 until April 30, 2027. These are paid positions with a maximum of 5 hours per week.
Applicants must be available to attend an in person orientation from May 4-6, 2026 in order to be eligible for the position. Applications must be submitted by April 03, 2026 at midnight. Each TRUSU Committee has a different area of responsibility with a number of ongoing programs that they manage as well as one-off projects they work on related to their scope of work. To find out which committee might be the best fit for you please read the descriptions below.
Community Affairs Committee
Members at Large on the Community Affairs Committee assist the elected representatives with the implementation of their annual plan. The Community Affairs Committee is responsible connecting, empowering, and engaging student in the off campus community.

Entertainment Committee
Members at Large on the Entertainment Committee assist the elected representatives with the implementation of their annual plan. The Entertainment Committee is responsible for planning and implementing events and activities for students to connect socially outside of the classroom.

Equity Committee
Members at Large on the Equity Committee assist the elected representatives with the implementation of their annual plan. The Equity Committee is responsible for planning and implementing equity initiatives to end systems and structures of oppression on campus and in the community.

Services Committee
Members at Large on the Services Committee assist the elected representatives with the implementation of their annual plan. The Services Committee is responsible for the management and promotion of TRUSU Services. Applicants for this position must be available to attend Services Committee Meetings on Tuesdays from 1:30-3:30PM.

University Affairs Committee
