The Human Rights and Social Justice Club was founded to bring together individuals passionate about advocating for equality, freedom, and justice for all. Our mission is to raise awareness about social injustices, foster dialogue on human rights issues, and create space for positive change within our community. Through education, activism, and connection, we aim to make a difference locally and globally. We believe in equality, inclusion, and dignity for every human being, regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, or socio-economic status. Our club is committed to empathy, engagement, and respect in all forms of advocacy, ensuring that diverse perspectives are heard and valued. We work together to stand against oppression, discrimination, and injustice, fostering a community rooted in relationality and mutual support. Our primary goals are raising awareness of human rights issues, educating our members and the community, and actively participating in campaigns and projects that promote social justice. We aim to collaborate with local and global organizations, organize workshops, and create spaces for open discussions. For the 2026-2027 academic year, the TRUSU HRSJ Club hopes to facilitate regular informal conversations in circle, host a public debate regarding AI Data Centres, and work to enhance the HRSJ community on campus and beyond. For updates and more information, please follow the TRUSU HRSJ Instagram account, or reach out to us directly via email.
