Breaking Bread: The Impacts of TRU Changes

Breaking Bread Discussion

How are recent changes at TRU affecting your student experience? What do you think the new international student rules and budget cuts mean for our community? How can we support each other while navigating this period of uncertainty? Join us for a community conversation about how these changes are shaping life at Thompson Rivers University and what kind of campus we want to build moving forward.

On Wednesday, April 15, 2026, from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm, join the TRUSU Campaigns Committee for pizza and an open discussion centered around how recent changes to Canadian post-secondary education are impacting campus life. Together, we’ll share our experiences and perspectives on the evolving realities at TRU, reflect on the challenges we’re facing, and discuss what support and advocacy feel most meaningful right now. We want you to share your thoughts on the changes, and what is on your mind about the future of TRU.

This discussion is part of the TRU Students’ Union Breaking Bread Series, which brings together intimate groups of students, TRU Community members, and Kamloops community leaders over lunch to exchange ideas, forge meaningful connections, and explore the issues that matter most to our generation.

Spaces are limited, and registration is first come first served. Reserve your spot below now!
