TRUSU needs you! We have two vacancies on TRUSU committees and are looking for students to help plan and implement our activities for the 2026/2027 year! This is a great opportunity to get more involved on campus and serve the community.
There are Member-at-Large positions on the University Affairs Committee and the Equity Committee. For more information on the work of each committee see below. Member at Large positions run until April 30, 2027. These are paid positions with a maximum of 5 hours per week.
Applicants must be available to attend the committee’s meeting times in order to be eligible for the position. Applications must be submitted by August 25, 2026 at midnight. Each TRUSU Committee has a different area of responsibility with a number of ongoing programs that they manage as well as one-off projects they work on related to their scope of work. To find out which committee might be the best fit for you please read the descriptions below.
Equity Committee
Members at Large on the Equity Committee assist the elected representatives with the implementation of their annual plan. The Equity Committee is responsible for planning and implementing equity initiatives to end systems and structures of oppression on campus and in the community. The Equity Committee meets on Thursdays from 11:30AM-12:30PM.

University Affairs Committee
Members at Large on the University Affairs Committee assist the elected representatives with the implementation of their annual plan. The University Affairs Committee is responsible for supporting the Student Caucus and implementing initiatives to create positive changes for students on campus.
