Equity Trainings

Free, accessible equity trainings hosted by the TRU Students' Union to help students build skills, foster awareness, and empower individuals to apply equity knowledge in daily life.

The TRU Students’ Union recognizes that opportunities to learn equity-based skills are often limited, and that many available trainings come with a cost or are inaccessible to some. To address these barriers and raise community awareness on key equity issues, we offer free training sessions open to all. These sessions aim to deepen understanding and empower individuals to apply this knowledge in their daily lives, contributing to global progress on equity.

Twice a year, in the Fall and Winter semesters, the Union will bring facilitators to campus to provide skill-based training on topics chosen by the Equity Committee. These topics vary for each session and are usually in response to current events and educational demand presented on campus and in the community. These trainings are organized to be offered to smaller groups, ranging between 25-50 people, so folks can look forward to interactive learning and discussion.

If you have any questions about the Equity Trainings program, Please reach out to the Equity Coordinator.
