Each month, there is a free Legal Clinic Pop-Ups in the Students’ Union Building. Whether you are dealing with a housing concern, employment issue, academic matter, or another dispute, the Legal Clinic Pop-Up provides an opportunity to discuss your situation, understand your options, and identify next steps with support from the clinic team. TRUSU partners with the TRU Community Legal Clinic to provide free, accessible legal support for students right on campus. Through regular on-campus appointments in the Students’ Union Building, students can receive guidance on issues such as landlord disputes, employment concerns, academic matters, and more.
Studying at TRU is a rewarding and life-changing experience, but challenges outside the classroom can sometimes affect your ability to focus on your education. Disputes with a landlord, employer, or another party can be stressful to navigate, especially when you may not know what rights they have or where to turn for support.
That is why we have partnered with the TRU Community Legal Clinic to help ensure students have access to reliable legal information and resources when they need it. By connecting students with free legal guidance, the Legal Clinic Pop Up helps remove barriers, supports student success, and ensures that students can better navigate challenges that may otherwise disrupt their academic journey.
Attending the Legal Clinic Pop Up
Monthly we partner with the TRU Community Legal Clinic to offer Pop Up Legal Clinics in person and virtually, all hosted from the Students’ Union building. This lets TRUSU members access legal advice to assist with their disputes, free of charge and without having to travel off campus. This saves students both time and money while still getting them the support they need.
