EDI Lecture Series

The Equity Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Lecture Series brings the TRU community together to explore critical issues in social justice, human rights, and equity. Join us for engaging discussions led by expert speakers.

The TRU Students’ Union recognizes that in order to achieve global understanding and progress on equity issues, there needs to be the opportunity for folks to engage in introductory learning relating to Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI). In response to this, we host the EDI Lecture series, to bring the campus and broader community together to achieve that end.

Each year, we bring speakers to Kamloops with the aim to provide opportunities, free of charge, for our community to engage in issues of social justice, human rights, and other critical EDI conversations. Growing and learning together is the mark of a community that is equipped to lead with understanding and respect for one another. It is our hope that participants leave these lectures with knowledge that can be applied and shared in their everyday lives, adding to the overall global progress on these equity issues.

If you have any questions about the EDI Lecture Series, Please Contact the Equity Coordinator.
