Are you struggling with the current affordability crisis and how it is affecting your student’s life? Did you find it challenging when it came to securing affordable housing when you started your studies? Is your current living arrangements not within your budget? Is it in an unsafe or not an ideal location? Have you had to change your location multiple times due to financial constraints? Do you have other experiences to share about how affordability issues are affecting your life? Then we want to hear from you.
On Thursday, December 18, 2024, from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 pm the TRUSU Campaigns Committee and representatives from a number of other community stakeholders are holding a small group discussion on the “Affordability crisis” in Kamloops as it pertains to TRU students, staff, and faculty.
This discussion is part of the TRU Students’ Union’s Breaking Bread Series which strives to connect small groups of students and community leaders to have lunch, share perspectives, foster connections, build community and discuss contemporary issues/advantages of volunteering as a student.
