The TRUSU Hygiene for the Homeless Club aims to provide a collective for TRU students to come together to provide the homeless population of our community with essential hygiene products. Significant obstacles to self-care and personal hygiene are faced by those who are homeless, including a lack of clean showers, laundry, and hand-washing facilities. the inability to maintain personal hygiene associated with homelessness may increase the risk of illness, overall health, and further social isolation. The Hygiene for the Homeless Club organizes various events and fundraisers to provide the local homeless population with much-needed hygiene products. We strive to give hope and optimism for the future with each hygiene kit we distribute.
