Do you feel the weight of winter’s shorter days and colder nights? Are you interested in discussing the impact of seasonal changes on mental health? Do you have strategies, experiences, or ideas about overcoming seasonal depression, especially as a student balancing academics and personal well-being? Then we want to hear from you.
Join us for an intimate and thought-provoking conversation on “Seasonal Depression for Students.” This discussion will explore the impact of, supports for, and community of support available for those who have experienced or know someone who has experienced seasonal depression. Together, we’ll explore coping mechanisms, support systems, and ways to thrive through the winter months.
On February 19, 2025 from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., the TRUSU Campaigns Committee will host a small group discussion on “Seasonal Depression” and its effects on TRU students, staff, and faculty.
This discussion is part of the TRU Students’ Union’s Breaking Bread Series, designed to bring small groups of students and community members together to share a free lunch, connect, and discuss meaningful topics.
