Every year, we as a TRUSU Taxation Club hold an Orientation for its volunteers before the start of tax season. During this event, our volunteers receive information about the tax clinics we will conduct. This year’s event boasts a lineup of panel speakers, including representatives from CPABC, CIBC, Tenisci Piva, KPMG, RBC, Grant Thornton, and BDO, who will share their valuable knowledge and experiences in the industry. Additionally, we are anticipating Mike Henry, Dean of SOBE, faculty members Ivan Desjardins and Kai Bauman, and Shawn Read, an experiential learning and co-op coordinator, attending, making this event a bridge between academic learning and practical application in industry, and an invaluable learning and networking opportunity for our membership.
