Wednesday, March 8th marks International Women’s Day. This globally recognized day is a time to celebrate the many social, economic, and political achievements made by women. March 8th is also a time to reflect on the strides made by the women’s rights movement, bringing awareness to issues such as reproductive rights and equal access to education. These movements are primarily led by women who help us advance our society by showing great leadership in action.

Thompson Rivers University is home to many strong women in leadership who work and inspire others every day. In honour of International Women’s Day, the TRUSU Equity Committee wants to hear and help share your stories about inspirational women who have shown leadership at TRU. We ask students to nominate who you think is a great leader by filling out the questionnaire below. The chosen stories will be featured on our website following up to International Women’s Day!

Help us celebrate by using the link below to nominate a woman at TRU and tell us your story about them showing great leadership!
